As the repercussions of COVID and its effects on the global economy get played out ad nauseam on the radio while I sit in the car waiting for the boss to finish food shopping, I wonder what it will be like in a year down the road?
Will I be allowed to shop with my wife? Will masks still be mandatory? Will the CBD be a ghost town, with everyone having taken the option to work closer to or at home?
Given what’s happened in 2020, which has been the definition of annus horribilis, it’s dangerous to predict anything. But I will make one prediction.
People will never want to go back to working the way that it was. Period.
Don’t get me wrong, we will all want to return to work, but I strongly believe how we do that will be different.
And different good, not different bad.
